City Manager Elizabeth Borstad, Community Development Manager Donna Meredith, and Tourism Coordinator Jennifer Browning visited The Cherry Laurel in Athens in August. This visit was part of the city's ongoing efforts to recognize and support local businesses that contribute to our community's unique charm and hospitality. The city's officials are highlighting how important these establishments and their dedicated employees are to our local tourism and economy. 

The Cherry Laurel Bakery, Cafe & Catering has been a staple in Athens since 1990. Known for their homemade soups, salads, and sandwiches, as well as their famous Butterum cake, they take much pride in everything they do. Proprietor Linda Ingram and staff have created a dining experience that keeps patrons returning.
