Job Description: 

To install, repair and maintain all utility, building, and production related machinery and equipment. To perform all phases of new construction as required for expansions and improvements. To perform preventive maintenance duties as assigned. 

Responsibilities Include: 
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment to ensure optimum operating condition; working from schematics, ladder, diagrams, machine manuals and/or blueprints. Source, price and submit purchase orders for repair and replacement parts.
  • Perform preventative maintenance schedule duties and maintain documentation of same.
  • Install, repair and maintain machinery and equipment, both production and facility related.
  • Facilitize for new construction, building modifications, and relocation of equipment, this includes electrical services and circuits, lighting and air conditioning, plumbing for compressed air, water, process chilled water, sewer, process gas and natural gas. Calculate utility loads and plan service runs.
  • Building construction to include wood, masonry and metal framework. Finish work including walls (metal, wood, sheetrock, etc.), ceilings (sheetrock, suspended, etc.) floors (tile, carpet, paint, etc.).
  • Perform all tasks following safety policies and procedures.
  • Work overtime and callbacks as needed to support production and maintenance work load.

 

 

Education/Experience: 
  • High school degree or equivalent (G.E.D.) with appropriate trade school or apprentice training
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the industrial maintenance arena including: electrical distribution systems, voltages up to & including 480 volt three phase,  electrical controls from basic up to and including programmable controllers, electro-hydraulic and electro-pneumatic devices and circuitry, carpentry, plumbing, welding and painting.
  • Minimum of 1 yr with pneumatics and hydraulics. Able to read, understand, and troubleshoot from blueprints, schematics, flow charts, and to read and understand ladder diagrams. Experience w/and knowledge of air conditioning, heating, process chillers a plus.
Special Skills/Abilities/Knowledge: 

English

  • Ability to negotiate equipment software for development and troubleshooting of ladder diagrams. Able to work within Windows operating arena using Word, Excel, and etc.
  • Electrical license preferred
  • Three years electrical, preferably in industrial maintenance arena, with ability to safely work with common voltages up to and including 480 volt three phase.
  • Minimum of one year with pneumatics and hydraulics. Able to read, understand, and troubleshoot from blueprints, schematics, flow charts, and to read and understand ladder diagrams.
  • Experience w/ and knowledge of air conditioning, heating, process chillers, and building construction a plus. 
  • Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work with minimal supervision.
