Job Description: 

This position will plan and direct production activities and establish production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.  Production activities will be coordinated with purchasing sales, maintenance, and quality control to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment.

Responsibilities Include: 
  • Evaluate master production schedule and adjust production capacity to attain 100% of scheduled work
  • Generate cost savings through process improvements and labor reduction activities
  • Maintain cGMP compliant production operation
  • Attend facility meetings and educate others on the staff with regard to current manufacturing doctrines (Lean, 6-Sigma, Kaizen Events)
  • Provide input into the monthly financial forecast (Labor, Absorption, and Spending)
  • Work closely with the quality group to ensure manufactured products are produced in accordance with approved specifications, drawings, and other documents
  • Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods
  • Analyze and plan work force utilitization, space requirements and workflow; design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
Special Skills/Abilities/Knowledge: 
  • 5-8 years related experience in preferably with knowledge of plastics manufacturing/assembly.  Medical Device or Medical Manufacturing would be a plus
  • Proven success in the implementation of improvement inititatives such as Lean, Kanban, 5S, Visual Manufacturing, etc.
  • Must have excellen communication skills including verbal, written and personal computing
  • Ability to lead cross-functional/department teams and effectively coach, teach and mentor
