Job Description: 

Extreme Engineering is looking for a professional Operations Manager to plan, direct and coordinate all organization’s operations. This is a senior position with a broad role. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. You will manage a small team of managers and direct reports. 

Responsibilities Include: 
  • Contribute towards the achievement of company’s strategic and operational objectives.  
  • Create a smooth efficient organization that meets the expectations of customers.
  • Ensure that all products are manufactured in a correct, cost effective and timely manner in alignment with specifications and quality requirements.
  • Contentious Improvement of operational systems and processes.
  • Organizing, scheduling and overseeing the selection and procurement of manufacturing raw materials and equipment.
  • Conduct negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure a fair bargain for goods and services.
  • Plan, control and oversee inventory.  
  • Plan and manage change.
  • Control facility layout and ensure warehouse efficiency.
  • Design and implement plans to ensure timely and effective use of material and labor resources to achieve production target.
  • Set and review budgets and manage costs.
  • Analyze and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or problems.
  • Establish or maintain quality controls and ensure production complies with established quality control specifications and standards.
  • Ensure production personnel comply with set health and safety policies when carrying out job duties.
  • Recruit, train, supervise and appraise human resources; manage personnel concerns.
  • Monitoring and supervise the activities of production personnel to ensure effective performance of job duties and proper workload distribution.
  • Enhance personnel job skill and knowledge with appropriate training and certifications.
  • Facilitate maintenance, repair or replacement of building and equipment.
  • Develop plan to achieve ISO 9000 + by 2020. 
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated experience specific to manufacturing and the product service industry. 
Special Skills/Abilities/Knowledge: 
  • Proven work experience as operations manager.
  • Adequate knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Technical skills: welding, fabrication, operating and examining production equipment for faults.
  • Project management skills:  coordinate, delegate, build team, solve problems.
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting and metrics.
  • Basic IT skills (databases, EPR/MRP, MS Office).
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership and organizational skills. 
  • Language skills helpful
Work Environment:
